Position Title: Community Development Officer

Responsibilities:
- Facilitate community engagement activities to identify and prioritize local needs and opportunities.
- Design, implement, and manage development programs focusing on education, health, economic empowerment, and social inclusion.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including local government agencies, NGOs, and community leaders, to achieve program objectives.
- Monitor, evaluate, and report on the progress and impact of community initiatives.
- Develop funding proposals and manage resources effectively to ensure sustainable project outcomes.
- Organize training sessions and workshops to enhance community members’ skills and capacities.
- Promote awareness and advocacy on key issues affecting the communities we serve.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Community Development, Social Work, International Development, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in community-based project management or development work.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and facilitation skills.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
- Familiarity with local languages and cultural contexts in East Africa is an advantage.
- Competency in project planning, monitoring, and evaluation tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software is a plus.

- This role requires regular travel to project sites within East Africa.
