Water Programs
East Africa Community Development Organization
Access to clean water is essential for health and daily life, yet many communities in East Africa face severe challenges due to inadequate infrastructure and the impacts of climate change, including recurring droughts and floods. Women and children often walk miles daily to fetch water, risking violence, wildlife attacks, and lost opportunities for education or work. Sadly, the water collected is frequently unsafe, leading to disease, miscarriage, and even death. While the scale of the crisis may seem overwhelming, simple, sustainable solutions tailored to local needs can make a lasting impact. For over 20 years, with the support of donors and partners, we have worked to bring practical, life-saving water solutions to communities across the region.
